In 2025, Apple is set to make significant changes to the iPhone, addressing both design and functionality gaps.
After years of incremental updates, the iPhone’s look and feel will receive a major overhaul, with an ultra-slim “iPhone Air” expected to be the highlight.
Additionally, the iPhone SE 4 will bring much-needed upgrades, ditching the outdated iPhone 8 design for a more modern, edge-to-edge display.
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to feature Face ID, an A18 processor, and a 48MP rear camera. It will also likely be the first device to use Apple’s in-house 5G modem. Pricing may rise slightly, but it will remain more affordable than the iPhone 14.
The iPhone 17 lineup will also bring new features, including a centered rear camera array and potentially a shift from titanium to aluminum for the Pro models.
With the A19 chip and improved camera systems, the iPhone 17 series will likely introduce ProMotion and always-on displays to all models.
Lastly, the iPhone 17 Air, an ultra-slim phone with a 6mm thickness, will be the most surprising release, with compromises like a smaller battery and a single speaker to achieve its thin design. Despite these sacrifices, it will likely offer the same performance as the iPhone 17, with a 48MP camera and Appleโs 5G modem.
Stay tuned for more updates as 2025 approaches, as Apple is set to transform the iPhone experience.
