A new VR fighting game, FINAL FURY, is set to launch in Early Access on May 8 for Meta Quest and Steam VR at $9.99. The game brings back the thrill of arcade fighting, now reimagined for full-body VR combat.

Developed by Kluge Interactive, the team behind the popular rhythm game Synth Riders, FINAL FURY lets players face off against powerful fighters from across the galaxy. Players can battle alone or fight online using rollback netcode, which ensures smooth gameplay even during fast matches.

In FINAL FURY, you fight using real moves. Punches, blocks, and special attacks are all done through physical hand gestures. The game includes six unique fighters, each with different styles, arenas, and abilities. Players can unlock more content in Arcade Mode and compete online with friends and global players.

To make sure the gameplay feels authentic, Kluge brought in Justin Wong, a nine-time EVO champion. Wong worked closely with the team to refine the mechanics, pace, and balance of the game.

“When I first saw FINAL FURY, I loved the idea of bringing classic fighter mechanics into VR,” said Justin Wong. “I helped the team with movement, grabs, and play styles. I can’t wait for players to try it.”

The game also features a high-energy soundtrack by Zardonic, known for music in SUPERHOT: MCD.

Kluge Interactive says it will keep improving FINAL FURY based on player feedback. Early Access will help them build a better game with the VR community’s help.

FINAL FURY will be available May 8 for Meta Quest and Steam VR. Players can wishlist the game now and join the official Discord to help shape its future.
