Valve's New Game, Deadlock leaked: Screenshots, Features & More

Valve looks to be making a new multiplayer shooter game called Deadlock. This was revealed from people testing the game who shared pictures online.

A person who leaks Valve info named GabeFollower confirmed the details and shared some screenshots. The pictures show characters fighting in a city that looks like City 17 from Half-Life 2.

One of the characters is called Grey Talon. Screenshots show Grey Talon’s weapons and special abilities described. Another character looks similar to the Sniper from Team Fortress 2.

Deadlock seems to combine parts of Valve’s other games like Dota 2, Team Fortress 2 and Half-Life with popular shooters like Overwatch and Valorant. GabeFollower said it has “fast-paced interesting gameplay.”

Valve did not announce Deadlock previously, so this leak was a surprise. Valve is best known for Steam now, but they still make some games. Last year they released Counter-Strike 2.

Valve’s president Gabe Newell previously said they were working on three virtual reality games, with Half-Life: Alyx being one of them released in 2020. Deadlock does not appear to be a VR game, so Valve may have even more unannounced games coming.
