Streamer University, a weekend-long streaming event held at the University of Akron, attracted millions of viewers from May 23 to 25. The event featured popular streamers and content creators learning and sharing their craft.
According to reports from Akademiks TV and Streams Charts, rapper and streamer DDG topped the list with 3.57 million total views. He streamed nearly 72 hours during the event, keeping his fans engaged throughout.
Following DDG were fellow streamers Ray and Kai Cenat, who is also the “Dean” of Streamer University. Kai streamed for about five and a half hours, reaching 1.47 million views. Other popular streamers who made the top ten include Rakai, Wendy, Tylil, ExtraEmily, Funny Mike, India Love, and Agent00.
Drake, the famous musician and founder of OVO, surprised the participants with a special message during the closing ceremony. He praised Kai Cenat for organizing the event, calling it an “extraordinary feat” and encouraged fans to support their Dean.
While the event had some minor drama, like leaked phone numbers and a tense club outing, it was overall a successful weekend for the streaming community. Many fans are eager to see more events like this in the future.
