The Ultra-Thin iPhone 17 Air: First Look at the Design and Features

iPhone 17 Air Leaks

The upcoming iPhone 17 Air, set to launch in September, is shaping up to be one of the thinnest smartphones on the market.

With rumors suggesting a thickness of just 5.5 mm, it will outshine Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge, which is expected to be 6.4 mm thick.

A leaked video showing an iPhone 17 Air mold from China gives us a close look at the device’s slim profile. The mold measures 5.65 mm, slightly thicker than the rumored 5.5 mm, but still incredibly thin compared to other smartphones. This is sure to turn heads when the phone hits the market.

However, Apple has made sacrifices to achieve this ultra-thin design. The iPhone 17 Air will feature only a single rear camera, a departure from the multi-camera systems seen in other iPhone 17 models.

Additionally, the battery capacity is expected to be lower, which could impact overall performance and longevity.

One key question still remains: how will the iPhone 17 Air hold up in a bend test? With its sleek and ultra-thin build, durability could become a concern. We’ll have to wait for its official release to find out.
