Qualcomm’s latest chip, the Snapdragon 8s Elite, has been detailed and is expected to power the iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro, a new addition to the Z10 series.

The chip was recently spotted in Geekbench benchmarks, revealing key specifications and confirming its place in Qualcomm’s more affordable 8s series of processors.

The iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro, identified by the model number vivo V2453A, runs the Snapdragon 8s Elite with a unique configuration.

The chip has a prime core clocked at 3.21GHz, three medium cores at 3.01GHz, two additional medium cores at 2.80GHz, and two small cores at 2.02GHz. The GPU, an Adreno 825, also aligns with previous reports of the 8s Elite.

When compared to other chips in the 8s series, the Snapdragon 8s Elite stands out with a higher clock speed and a more powerful GPU.

It does not use Qualcomm’s in-house Oryon cores but instead relies on ARM-designed cores, similar to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The Adreno 825 GPU is also a significant step up, offering more power than the Adreno 735 found in the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

In addition to the Snapdragon 8s Elite, the iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro will feature 12GB of RAM and run on Android 15. The standard iQOO Z10 Turbo, which uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8400, was also tested, and both models are expected to launch soon.

The Snapdragon 8s Elite is expected to be used in upcoming Redmi devices from Xiaomi as well, with the first phones featuring this chip set to arrive in April 2025.
