  • AI Capabilities: The chipset includes advanced AI functionalities, such as smart display resolution adjustments and enhanced image processing for smartphone cameras.

Upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Phones

OnePlus 13

The OnePlus 13 is anticipated to be among the first smartphones equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. It is rumored to support up to 24GB of RAM and will likely feature an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance.

The device is expected to offer 100W fast charging, significantly enhancing battery performance. There are also rumors of potential support for magnetic wireless charging similar to Apple’s MagSafe.

Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro

Xiaomi is set to unveil its Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro models around the same time as the OnePlus release. The Xiaomi 15 will feature a compact 6.36-inch display while housing a larger battery than its predecessor. It will support both 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The Xiaomi 15 Pro will have a larger 6.7-inch display with a massive 6,000 mAh battery.

While early leaks suggested it would support up to 120W wired charging, more recent information indicates it might be limited to 90W, but it is still expected to offer 80W wireless charging. The camera system in the Xiaomi 15 Pro is expected to include three 50MP sensors, including an ultra-wide lens and a new telephoto sensor capable of five times optical zoom.

Other Brands

Other manufacturers are also preparing devices with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. Oppo’s upcoming Find X8 Ultra is expected to leverage this new technology, although specific details are still emerging.

Additionally, gaming-focused devices like the Asus ROG Phone 9 are anticipated to utilize the new chipset’s capabilities for enhanced gaming experiences.
