Marvel’s final 2024 release has shaken up the Rotten Tomatoes rankings for MCU TV shows. What If…? season 3, which dropped on December 22, has earned mixed reviews, pushing She-Hulk: Attorney At Law out of the bottom three.
Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk still holds the lowest audience score on Rotten Tomatoes at 32%, but the critics’ score was much higher at 79%.
However, What If…? season 3 now sits near the bottom, with a 75% critics score and a 56% audience score.
Only Echo (70%) and Secret Invasion (52%) have lower critics scores, while Secret Invasion (44%) and She-Hulk (32%) have lower audience scores.
The early reviews for What If…? season 3 are divided. Critics are not entirely impressed, with some calling the season “bad” or “disappointing,” while others, like Empire and Collider, praise it as a strong entry.
The audience score reflects a similar split, with some fans frustrated by the focus on less popular characters, while others enjoy the entertainment and potential connections to Secret Wars.
Though the season’s reception is mixed, it is still early, and the scores may change after the season finale.
However, for now, the early Rotten Tomatoes scores seem to reflect the overall trend of What If…? season 3.
