Samsung’s next major software update, One UI 7, is expected to be released in October/November 2024 or even early December for flagship Samsung phones and tablets.
Samsung One UI 7 Eligible Devices
It will be based on Android 15. Eligible devices for the One UI 7 update include:
- Galaxy S series: S24, S23, S22, S21
- Galaxy Z series: Z Fold 6, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 6, Z Flip 5, Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3
- Galaxy A series: A73, A55, A54, A53, A35, A34, A33, A25, A24, A23, A15, A14
- Galaxy Tab series: Tab S9 FE+, Tab S9 FE, Tab S9 Ultra, Tab S9+, Tab S9, Tab S8 Ultra, Tab S8+, Tab S8
Samsung One UI 7 New Features
Some anticipated new features in One UI 7 are:
- A vertically scrollable app drawer, potentially available as a Good Lock module
- Increased focus on generative AI and integration with Samsung’s AI assistant
- Battery health monitoring similar to iPhones
- Satellite network connectivity for messaging when out of cellular coverage
The official list of eligible devices will be released closer to the One UI 7 rollout. Samsung typically prioritizes its latest flagship models for major software updates.
