Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A56 has been the subject of a recent leak, revealing some exciting details about the phone’s specs.
The device is expected to feature an AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy A55.
The design will include an aluminum frame and glass back, and the rear camera setup will be a triple-lens array, offering a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide, and 5MP macro lenses. However, the 12MP selfie camera is a downgrade from the A55’s 32MP, which may disappoint some users.
In terms of performance, the Galaxy A56 is set to offer 8GB or 12GB of RAM, paired with 128GB or 256GB of storage options, which mirrors the configurations seen in previous models.
The device is also expected to feature a 5000mAh battery with a 45W charging capability, a significant upgrade from the 25W charging seen in the Galaxy A55.
This faster charging speed, which matches that of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, is a standout feature, especially considering that the standard Galaxy S24 only supports 25W charging.
The phone will be powered by the Exynos 1580 chipset, which should offer better performance compared to the Exynos 1480 found in the A55.
The Exynos 1480 struggled to compete with chipsets from other brands, like Googleโs Tensor and OnePlusโs offerings, so the new chipset should bring noticeable improvements in both performance and efficiency.
The price is expected to be around ยฃ439 in the UK, which could translate to about $449 in the US. If past trends hold, the Galaxy A56 could be available by March 2025.
