This new plan offers researchers, engineers, and professionals enhanced AI capabilities with advanced tools for tackling complex problems.

    Key Features of ChatGPT Pro

    • Unlimited Access to Advanced Models: Includes OpenAI o1, o1-mini, GPT-4o, and the newly introduced o1 pro mode.
    • Enhanced Thinking Power: The o1 pro mode uses more compute resources to deliver reliable, accurate responses, particularly in fields like programming, data science, and legal analysis.
    • Better Performance: In tests, o1 pro mode outperformed other versions on benchmarks like math competitions, coding challenges, and PhD-level science questions.

    Supporting Progress in Science

To support impactful research, OpenAI is awarding 10 grants of ChatGPT Pro to medical researchers in the U.S. These recipients include experts from institutions like Harvard Medical School and Berkeley Lab, focusing on fields like rare diseases, aging, and cancer immunotherapy.

    What’s Next?

OpenAI plans to expand ChatGPT Pro with more compute-intensive features over time while introducing some new capabilities to other subscription tiers.
