Nikki Glaser Reveals Cut Golden Globes Jokes Targeting Baldwin, Chalamet, and More

Nikki Glaser’s hosting of the 2025 Golden Globes earned her widespread praise, but not all of her sharp jokes made it to air.

The comedian appeared on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show to reveal some of the punchlines she decided to cut from the live broadcast.

Jokes on Diddy and the Catholic Church

One cut joke targeted Diddy, who’s currently facing serious legal issues. Glaser had planned to joke: “This is the last time all of you will be in the same room together until the Diddy trial.”

She explained it was removed because it could imply the entire room was involved in the scandal, potentially turning the audience against her.

Glaser also cut a Catholic Church joke referencing the “Conclave” movie, acknowledging it was a tired topic, especially with the church’s history of abuse scandals.

Adrien Brody and Luigi Mangione Jokes

Glaser also shared a joke about Adrien Brody, referencing his role in The Pianist and The Brutalist, but a second part, suggesting Brody might thank baby Hitler for his career, was nixed after her assistant didn’t understand it.

A joke about Luigi Mangione, involved in a high-profile murder case, was also cut: “Who would’ve thought you’d only be the second-hottest hit man in America?”

Riskier Jokes on Nicole Kidman and Timothée Chalamet

Glaser had a few sharp lines aimed at Nicole Kidman and Timothée Chalamet. One joke about Kidman, comparing her to The Wild Robot after two white wines, was cut for fear it might not go over well with the actress. A more biting line about Chalamet’s portrayal of Bob Dylan was also scrapped.

Alec Baldwin and Other Cuts

Glaser decided against making a joke about Alec Baldwin’s involvement in the Rust tragedy, saying it was “too mean.” She also chose not to roast Matt Gaetz with a joke about his payment history or target Joker: Folie à Deux with a more blunt version of a joke that made light of mass shootings.

Despite cutting these jokes, Glaser’s monologue was a hit, with many praising her sharp wit. Glenn Weiss, the executive producer of the Golden Globes, expressed interest in having her return in the future.
