Mustard reacted to the surprise release of Kendrick Lamar’s GNX album, released on November 22, 2024.

He shared his shock, saying he expected the album to drop later, possibly around the Super Bowl or in early 2025, but was surprised to see it out just minutes after Kendrick posted a snippet.

One standout track, “TV Off,” co-produced by Mustard along with Sounwave, Jack Antonoff, and Kamasi Washington, features a dramatic beat switch and a moment where Kendrick screams Mustard’s name with energy, making it an instant meme.

Mustard called the moment “elite,” expressing excitement over the producer tag becoming a crowd favorite.

Mustard also discussed his work on another track, “Hey Now,” which he created years ago before Kendrick added his touch.

Mustard is always eager to send Kendrick new material, saying he’s committed to working together on future projects.

The collaboration between the two has sparked social media buzz, with fans praising the energy and creativity on GNX, especially the “Mustard” scream on “TV Off.”
