During the Summer Game Fest 2025, Marvel revealed its surprise new project: Marvel’s Deadpool VR, developed by Twisted Pixel and Oculus Studios, in collaboration with Marvel Games.
This time, Ryan Reynolds will not return as the iconic antihero. Instead, Neil Patrick Harris will step into the red suit — and fans are already buzzing with excitement.
The game will launch exclusively for the Meta Quest 3 and 3S, bringing a fresh, original story to VR players.
According to Marvel, Deadpool is pulled into Mojoworld where he signs a shady contract (without reading it, of course) and goes on a chaotic journey across the Marvel universe, battling both iconic and lesser-known villains.
Players can expect classic Deadpool action — including parkour, explosions, and over-the-top violence.
The game allows players to do things like punch enemies with one hand while holding a grenade in the other, throw a severed arm, and even shove enemies into spinning propellers. As Marvel puts it, “Dismemberment is encouraged.”
There’s no exact release date yet, but Marvel’s Deadpool VR is set to launch later in 2025. While it’s a VR exclusive, fans are already wishing it would come to consoles.
With Neil Patrick Harris bringing his signature wit and energy to the role, this version of Deadpool could be wild, hilarious, and unforgettable.
