Marshmello just released a new EP called “It’s Riddim Time!” The album features six tracks and was unexpectedly made available on SoundCloud on April 26th without any prior notice or promotion.
Marshmello’s decision to release the album first on SoundCloud first was a strategic move to avoid potential conflicts with the Spotify release schedule. The artist’s team had planned a more extensive launch for the album, but Marshmello chose to go ahead with the SoundCloud release without consulting them.
The album was later made available on Spotify on May 24th, nearly a month after its initial SoundCloud release. This surprise move by Marshmello showcased his artistic independence and willingness to take risks to share his music with fans as soon as possible.
The EP contains collaborations with popular name in the riddim genres, such as INFEKT & SampliFire. There is even a solo track on this EP.
