Apple Intelligence - iOS 18

Apple has officially launched iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, and macOS Sequoia 15.2, bringing a wealth of new features under the Apple Intelligence umbrella.

Among the standout updates are the integration of ChatGPT, the Image Playground for creative image generation, and the ability to generate custom emojis with Genmoji.

The ChatGPT integration allows users to access the popular OpenAI tool via Siri or Apple’s writing tools.

This feature enables text generation based on existing content and supports text-to-image creation for direct document insertion.

You can use ChatGPT without logging into an account, though signing in will unlock additional functionalities.

Other notable updates include Image Playground, which lets users generate cartoon-style images from prompts, and the Image Wand tool in Notes, which transforms basic sketches into polished images.

Genmoji, designed for creating custom emoji-like stickers, adds a fun element to group chats.

iOS 18.2 also introduces expanded language support, including English for regions like Australia and Canada, and an enhanced Visual Intelligence tool.

Apple continues to build on its ecosystem, with these updates rolling out widely on December 11, 2024.
