Lady Gaga Joins ‘Wednesday’ Season 2 With New Song ‘Dead Dance’

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is joining the eerie world of Wednesday. Two sources have confirmed to Variety that the global pop star will release a new track titled “Dead Dance” for the upcoming second season of the hit Netflix series, directed by Tim Burton.

The song—and its music video—are expected to drop next month, aligning with Gaga’s appearance on the show as Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary Nevermore Academy teacher who has a mysterious connection with Wednesday Addams.

While Gaga’s team has not officially confirmed the news, fan speculation has been strong for weeks. Last month, Gaga and Burton were reportedly seen filming at the infamous Island of the Dolls in Xochimilco, Mexico—a location known for its creepy atmosphere and haunted reputation.

Wednesday Season 2

At the London premiere of Wednesday Season 2, Burton praised Gaga’s work, calling the collaboration “inspirational.” He added, “She’s such an artist… you see the whole crew kind of light up. It’s a beautiful thing to witness.”

Though Gaga missed the premiere due to her ongoing Mayhem Ball world tour, her addition to the cast adds even more star power. Season 2 also features returning stars Jenna Ortega and Catherine Zeta-Jones, along with new cast members Steve Buscemi as Nevermore’s new principal Barry Dort and Joanna Lumley as Wednesday’s grandmother.

Burton hinted that more projects with Gaga may be on the way. At Italy’s Giffoni Film Festival, he said, “I’ve done something else with her,” though he declined to share more details.
