Kendrick Lamar Owns the Charts, But Drake Holds One Spot

Kendrick Lamar’s new album GNX continues to dominate the rap world. Multiple songs from the album are performing strongly on the Billboard Rap Airplay chart. Kendrick holds four of the top five spots on the list, a rare achievement for any artist.

At No. 1 is “Luther,” Kendrick’s hit with SZA. The song has now spent six weeks at the top and 22 weeks total on the chart. Another track, “Squabble Up,” climbs back to No. 3, returning to its highest position yet.

Peekaboo,” featuring AZChike, also moves up. It lands at No. 5 this week, its best rank so far. Meanwhile, “TV Off” with Lefty Gunplay slips one spot to No. 4.

The only artist stopping Kendrick from a full sweep of the top five is Drake. His single “Nokia” remains at No. 2, holding its ground against Kendrick’s rise. Despite their rivalry, both stars continue to lead the rap scene.

This chart moment proves Kendrick Lamar’s power in hip-hop today — with only Drake keeping it from being total domination.
