Kendrick Lamar’s “Squabble Up” has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking his fifth career No. 1 hit.
The song, from his album GNX, garnered 52 million official streams, 5.7 million radio impressions, and 5,000 sales in its first week (ending Nov. 28, 2024).
Lamar is now the first artist in 2024 to claim three Hot 100 No. 1s, surpassing Post Malone, Ariana Grande, and Morgan Wallen, who each have two.
With “Squabble Up,” “Not Like Us,” and “Like That” all debuting at No. 1 this year, Lamar becomes the first solo male artist to achieve this feat in a single year, joining BTS and Ariana Grande, who also accomplished this in previous years.
In addition to the No. 1 debut, Lamar also secured four other top 10 positions with tracks from GNX. “TV Off” featuring Lefty Gunplay landed at No. 2, followed by “Luther” with SZA at No. 3, “Wacced Out Murals” at No. 4, and “Hey Now” featuring Dody6 at No. 5.
Lamar also made his mark with two more top 10 hits, “Reincarnated” (No. 8) and “Man at the Garden” (No. 9), bringing his total career top 10s to 22.
In other chart news, Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” drops to No. 6 after tying a record for the longest No. 1 reign.
Mariah Carey’s iconic holiday hit, “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” re-entered the top 10 at No. 10, boosting its career total to 14 weeks at No. 1 since its 2019 peak.
