Kanye West is facing backlash after posting an antisemitic rant on X (formerly Twitter). In his post, West declared “I’m a Nazi,” called Hitler “so fresh,” and said he “loves when Jewish people say they can’t work with him.” He also wrote that he is “never apologizing” for his past comments about Jewish people.
Jewish organizations, including the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the American Jewish Committee (AJC), have condemned West for spreading hate.
ADL CEO Jonathan A. Greenblatt called West’s post “a flagrant and unequivocal display of hate.” He reminded the public that West’s 2022 antisemitic rants led to 30 related incidents across the U.S.
“Let’s call Ye’s hate-filled public rant for what it is: a sad attempt for attention that uses Jews as a scapegoat,” Greenblatt said. “Words matter. And as we’ve seen too many times before, hateful rhetoric can lead to real-world harm.”
The American Jewish Committee also released a statement, warning that West’s words could inspire more hate and violence.
“Hate, left unchecked, only multiplies. At a time when antisemitism is rising worldwide, Ye is actively endangering Jews,” the AJC said.
This is not the first time West has made antisemitic statements. In 2022, he posted on X that he wanted to go “death con 3 on Jewish people.” The backlash led to Adidas ending its partnership with him, costing him millions.
Despite losing business deals and facing widespread criticism, West has refused to back down. His latest comments have once again raised concerns about the influence he has over his millions of followers.
Jewish organizations are urging celebrities, public figures, and social media platforms to take a stand against West’s dangerous rhetoric.
