Apple has confirmed it will unveil the iPhone 17 series on 9 September. The lineup will include the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, with the event carrying the tagline “awe-dropping.”
Meanwhile, details of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra have surfaced in certification filings. The phone is expected to feature a 5,000mAh battery, the same as its predecessor, but faster 65W charging may be on the way.
Samsung is also preparing to launch the Galaxy S25 FE on 4 September. The device will have a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with 120Hz refresh, an Exynos 2400 chipset, a triple rear camera system led by a 50MP sensor, and a 4,900mAh battery supporting 45W wired and 15W wireless charging. Pricing is expected to start at $649.99 in the US.
In China, Realme introduced two concept smartphones at its 828 Fan Festival. One features a 15,000mAh battery capable of lasting up to five days on a single charge, while another carries a 10,000mAh battery with a built-in cooling fan and thermoelectric system to lower device temperatures.
Elsewhere, Xiaomi launched HyperOS 3.0, its Android 16-based system update, offering refreshed visuals, new icons, and a “Super Island” feature. A beta program has already begun, with stable rollout due later this year.
