In the wake of the much-anticipated GTA 6 trailer, former Rockstar developer Mike York has weighed in on the game’s remarkable visual improvements, emphasizing that its level of detail and realism makes it worth every cent, regardless of its price tag.
York, who worked as an animator at Rockstar from 2012 to 2017, has seen his fair share of gaming evolution, but even he is impressed by the groundbreaking advancements on display in GTA 6.
York specifically pointed out the notable improvement in the game’s lighting from the first to the second trailer. “You think Mario Kart competes with a game like this, as far as how much stuff they’ve got to put into a game?” York asks, arguing that GTA 6 offers a level of depth and realism that is unmatched by other titles on the market.
Even though the second GTA 6 trailer mainly consisted of cinematic footage, fans and industry veterans alike are buzzing about the game’s potential, with many believing that it is a glimpse into the future of gaming.
