Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto VI will release on May 26, 2026, but many fans already believe it may get delayed again.
The game was originally expected in late 2025, but Rockstar pushed the date back to give more time for development.
Now, players on Reddit and other platforms are guessing that the May release might not stick. One fan wrote, “This is just step one for a Fall 2026 release.”
Another predicted the game would land in October, pointing to Rockstar’s history. Past titles like Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5 were delayed before launching in the fall.
Rockstar has delayed games before. Red Dead Redemption 2 was pushed from 2017 to 2018, and then again to October 2018. This pattern makes fans nervous. Many believe Rockstar might do the same with GTA 6.
Even though May 26, 2026, is a clear and specific date, fans are unsure. Some trust that Rockstar will stick to the plan.
