GTA 6 Leak Hints at Possible Co-op Feature and New Gameplay Mechanic

A recent leak has sparked speculation that Grand Theft Auto VI may include a co-op gameplay feature, separate from the expected new version of GTA Online.

The leak, originally shared by Reddit user Tobbelobben30, suggests the game could include a “Buddy Ping” mechanic. This feature might allow players to interact more effectively with teammates, either in multiplayer missions or by directing AI partners during the story mode.

While it’s unclear how GTA Online will evolve and whether players can carry over characters from GTA V, many expect the online mode will start fresh.

The idea of a co-op story mode is exciting for fans, as it would be a first for the series. However, it remains uncertain if Rockstar Games plans to allow cooperative play in the campaign, especially with a full online mode likely included.

More likely, the Buddy Ping system would enhance missions that involve AI characters, such as the rumored main characters Lucia and Jason, giving players more control and reducing mission failure caused by NPC errors.
