A new open-world game, Paradise, is being shredded by Grand Theft Auto 6 fans on YouTube after its trailer dropped.
The game, developed by Ultra Games HK, is described as a “free-to-play life simulation game with limitless possibilities, realistic graphics, and advanced AI,” but fans aren’t impressed.
The trailer showcases a sprawling city filled with bustling streets, people, and vehicles. At first glance, it seems to be a mashup of The Sims and GTA, but fans quickly pointed out its lack of personality.
One commenter, flamev2981, summed it up with, “This game is the embodiment of if an investor made a video game.” Many echoed this sentiment, criticizing the game for feeling generic.
The game’s reliance on AI and its inclusion of crypto have raised eyebrows. One commenter joked, “‘Powered by AI.’ Starting from 2025, this should be considered as a HUGE red flag.”
Another, LightswitchKing, noted, “AI was the first red flag. CRYPTO WAS THE LAST STRAW.”
As expected, Paradise’s resemblance to GTA has led to a wave of mockery. Comments like “CHATGPT – Make me a GTA clone” and “When mum says we have GTA VI at home” flooded the trailer’s comment section.
Many fans felt that Paradise didn’t offer anything new, with one commenter, TheDrownjrDrown, calling it “the MOST GENERIC s**t game you see people in TV shows playing in the background.”
With so many open-world games flooding the market, it’s hard to see who Paradise is aiming for.
While it might check some boxes, it seems to lack the innovation needed to stand out. As of now, it looks like most gamers will be skipping this one.
