New leaks about GTA 6 suggest that Rockstar Games is having trouble finishing the final part of the game. According to a report by GameRoll, the ending of GTA 6 is being reworked because a lot of content from Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 was removed. The leaker described the situation as “development hell.”
GTA 6 is currently set for release on May 26, 2026. It was originally supposed to launch in late 2025, but Rockstar delayed it. The problems with the ending could be one of the main reasons for the delay.
The leaks claim that the chapters shown in the trailers so far only cover the first three chapters of the game. This means Rockstar has kept the later parts a secret. The developers are also still making changes to the weapon wheel and have already redesigned it three times.
The leaks also mention that GTA 6 might include brutal details like dismemberment and gore, similar to what players saw in Red Dead Redemption 2.
More leaks from GameRoll suggest that the game will have a huge open world with hundreds of malls and over 700 stores. However, some features like a new dynamic cover system have reportedly been removed. Instead, Rockstar is using a system similar to GTA V.
These details have not been confirmed by Rockstar, but GameRoll’s past leaks have been accurate, including revealing the main characters’ names before the official announcement.
For now, fans will have to wait and see if GTA 6 can meet its new release date or if more delays are coming.
