GTA 5 Money Fronts Update Improves Ray Tracing on PC

Rockstar Games has just improved GTA V’s graphics with extra ray tracing options on PC. These new features arrived with the GTA Online: Money Fronts update released on June 17, 2025, bringing better visuals for players using the GTA V Enhanced version.

One of the biggest additions is a high-resolution ray traced reflections setting. This makes reflections on surfaces like cars and windows look sharper and more realistic.

Another feature allows for a second ray bounce with Ray Traced Global Illumination (RTGI), making shadows and lighting even more lifelike by bouncing light around scenes more accurately.

These upgrades help GTA V look closer to the kind of graphics expected in GTA 6. Players who tried the settings noticed clearer shadows, richer colors, and smoother reflections, especially in detailed areas like building windows and car surfaces.

According to Rockstar, turning on these options does not have a major impact on performance for modern gaming PCs.

Running the game at 120 frames per second with the new ray tracing features enabled is still possible. However, users should expect a slight increase in VRAM usage, especially at 1440p resolution.

Both new options can be found in the game’s settings menu. To enable the second ray bounce, players need to set RTGI to Ultra quality. The improved reflections also require ray traced reflections to be turned on first.

These updates show Rockstar’s continued support for GTA V, even as fans await news on GTA 6.
