A recent leak involving Spigen’s Liquid Crystal case for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra reveals some important details about the flagship’s wireless charging capabilities.

The case shows a circular pattern, indicating support for magnetic MagSafe-style wireless charging.

However, the Galaxy S25 series will not feature built-in magnets for Qi2 wireless charging, meaning users will need to purchase a compatible case for magnetic charging support.

Rumors suggest the Galaxy S25 series will charge wirelessly at 25W, compared to the 15W speed of the current Galaxy S24 models.

However, the FCC certification for the base Galaxy S25 shows only a 9W wireless charging speed, leaving some uncertainties about the charging speed across the series.

Wired charging speeds are expected to be 25W for the Galaxy S25 and 45W for the Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra.

The Galaxy S25 series is set to be unveiled at Samsung’s Unpacked event on January 22, 2025.
