Drake Calls Out Fake Friends During Toronto Show: ‘No Friends in the Industry’

Drake took the stage in Toronto over the weekend, addressing the theme of losing friends and betrayal.

During the show, the rapper spoke about how people you once considered close might turn on you, saying, “They might switch up. They might try to move funny with you. They might stab you in the back.”

He added that life will present moments where you realize some people aren’t as loyal as you thought, and sometimes, you end up facing challenges alone.

Drake’s comments came after he unfollowed several people on Instagram, including Future, Playboi Carti, and NBA stars LeBron James and DeMar DeRozan.

The rapper also played a mix of songs, including 50 Cent’s “Many Men” and Beyoncé’s “Me, Myself and I,” which many fans connected to his ongoing tensions with Kendrick Lamar and other artists like Future, The Weeknd, and Rick Ross.

Drake is rumored to be working on a joint album with PartyNextDoor, though no release date has been confirmed.
