Netflix is set to release its anime adaptation of Devil May Cry in April 2025, bringing the beloved Capcom franchise to life in animated form.
The anime is produced by Studio Mir in collaboration with creator Adi Shankar, known for his work on the Castlevania series.
What to Expect
The newly released trailer shows Dante, the series’ iconic demon hunter, in action, showcasing his signature moves and gunplay.
However, fans noticed the absence of his famous guns Ebony and Ivory in the preview. The anime’s art style differs from the 2007 Devil May Cry series, leaning more into modern, high-quality animation.
While Netflix has not revealed the full plot, the appearance of the White Rabbit character from the Devil May Cry 3 manga “Code 1: Dante” suggests that the series may take place before the first game’s events.
Exciting Collaboration
Adi Shankar, who successfully adapted Castlevania into a hit Netflix series, is at the helm of this project, raising expectations among fans.
Studio Mir, known for its work on The Legend of Korra and Dota: Dragon’s Blood, promises top-tier animation quality.
With Netflix’s track record of adapting video games into anime, Devil May Cry’s highly anticipated release could be another hit for the streaming giant.
Fans can expect plenty of demon-slaying action when the anime drops in April 2025.
