Nothing has teased several new gadgets under its CMF sub-brand, but it left us with one big question: Where’s the new CMF Watch?
In a recent email and social media post, the company revealed that it will unveil the CMF Phone 2 Pro alongside the new CMF Buds 2, Buds 2a, and Buds 2 Plus on April 28, 2025, at 9 AM ET / 2 PM BST / 11 PM AEST.
The CMF brand stands for Color, Material, and Finish, offering budget-friendly devices that still maintain Nothing’s signature design. However, what’s strange is that Nothing has once again skipped over the base model of its phone.
Just like it did with the Phone 3a and 3a Pro, the Phone 2 Pro is being announced before the regular CMF Phone 2 or even a Pro version of the CMF Phone 1.
What’s even more puzzling is the absence of any mention of the CMF Watch Pro 2. The company introduced the first CMF Watch Pro last year, which was a solid budget option, but it seems there won’t be a follow-up for now.
As for the CMF Phone 2 Pro, there are some hints about a potential camera upgrade. In a short video teaser, the phone’s camera setup is suggested by four circles: two larger gray ones stacked above each other, and a smaller one next to them with an even smaller orange dot.
This could indicate a three-camera array—a typical feature on Pro-tier smartphones, which might include a main, ultra-wide, and telephoto lens setup.
Although we don’t have full details, the teaser leaves us eagerly awaiting the official reveal on April 28.
