Beeper is rolling out redesigned desktop and iOS apps in beta, bringing them in line with the Android version’s improved UI and functionality.
After revamping its Android app in 2024, Beeper is now expanding those updates to Windows, macOS, Linux, and iOS.
The new apps, announced this week, are available in beta—iOS users can access it via TestFlight, while desktop users can download it directly from Beeper’s website.
What’s New in the Updated Apps?
The new versions bring several major improvements:
- On-device encryption will replace Beeper’s cloud-based encryption.
- Multi-account support allows users to sign in to the same service on different accounts simultaneously.
- macOS iMessage support is planned for a future update.
The update comes after Beeper was acquired by Automattic in 2024, with the new desktop version being built on the foundations of the Texts desktop app.
This marks the first major update since Beeper founder Eric Migicovsky left the company last year.
With these improvements, Beeper is positioning itself as a more powerful, secure, and flexible messaging platform across all devices.
