Battlefield 6 Open Beta Could Launch Within Weeks, Data Suggests

Gaming fans may get their first chance to play Battlefield 6 within weeks, according to new information discovered by the game’s community.

Members of a Battlefield fan group have uncovered data suggesting EA plans to publish the open beta build on August 4. While this doesn’t guarantee the beta will launch that same day, it indicates public testing could begin shortly after.

The discovery was made through EA’s backend services API, according to reports on the Battlefield subreddit. The same data suggests the open beta build is significantly more advanced than previous test versions, with improvements and potentially new features not seen in earlier builds.

Industry watchers expect EA to announce the game’s official release date and open pre-orders before the beta launches. Gaming communities have also spotted references to “early open beta access” in the game’s code, suggesting pre-order customers may get priority access to testing.

The timing aligns with rumors that EA plans a three-day media event later this month. The event reportedly will feature a live reveal similar to the Battlefield 1 announcement, which included both the official unveiling and live gameplay footage.

EA has set an ambitious target of reaching 100 million players with Battlefield 6. The open beta will likely provide the first major indication of whether the game can achieve this goal.

The company has not officially confirmed the beta dates or the upcoming event.
