Electronic Arts has officially revealed the multiplayer mode for Battlefield 6. The live event on July 31, 2025, showed new maps, gameplay features, and the game’s release date. Here’s a clear breakdown of all the key information.

Release Date

Battlefield 6 will launch on October 10, 2025. This release date puts it in direct competition with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which usually launches in November.

Beta Dates

  • August 7–8: Early access for Battlefield Labs members only
  • August 9–10: Open beta available for all players
  • August 14–17: Second open beta for everyone

Players can join on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Early access requires pre-order or Twitch Drops.

Maps at Launch

The game will feature nine maps at launch, including:

  • Operation Firestorm (remake from Battlefield 3)
  • Gibraltar (close-quarters combat)
  • Egypt (infantry and land vehicle focus)
  • Tajikistan (large, mountainous terrain)
  • Brooklyn (mixed close-quarters and large-scale combat)

Classic Classes Return

The traditional four classes are back: Recon, Assault, Engineer, and Support. Weapon restrictions by class will be tested in the beta after fan feedback.

Battlefield Portal

The popular custom game mode builder returns with more powerful tools, allowing players to create and share custom matches.

Environmental Destruction

Large-scale environmental destruction remains a key feature of the game. EA emphasized this but did not use the term “Levolution” in this reveal.

Singleplayer Campaign

A new look at the singleplayer campaign was shown, though multiplayer remains the main focus for most fans.

Soundtrack

The reveal trailer featured music from Limp Bizkit, giving a nod to early 2000s nostalgia.
