Apple’s new iPhone 16e, released on February 19, 2025, does not include MagSafe connectivity, just like the discontinued iPhone SE.
This means that MagSafe accessories such as cases, chargers, battery packs, and wallets will not work with the iPhone 16e. None of the available silicone cases for this model are MagSafe compatible either.
However, the iPhone 16e still supports Qi wireless charging at 7.5W, so users can charge the device wirelessly, though it won’t benefit from the faster speeds and convenience that MagSafe provides.
The iPhone 16e is the first modern iPhone to miss out on MagSafe. The technology was first introduced in 2020 with the iPhone 12 lineup, adding a new accessory ecosystem to Apple devices.
