Apple iPhone 17 Pro Rumors: Aluminum Frame, A19 Chip & More

The Apple iPhone 17 series is still months away, but rumors are already swirling about its features.

Here are eight rumored changes for the iPhone 17 Pro:

1. Aluminum Frame

Unlike its predecessors, the iPhone 17 Pro may feature an aluminum frame, replacing the titanium used in the iPhone 15 and 16 Pro models.

2. Rectangular Camera Module

The iPhone 17 Pro is expected to have a larger, rectangular camera bump made of aluminum.

3. A19 Pro Chip

A next-generation A19 Pro chip, using TSMC’s advanced 3nm process, is expected to offer improved performance and power efficiency.

4. Apple-designed Wi-Fi 7 Chip

One model in the iPhone 17 lineup could feature Apple’s own Wi-Fi 7 chip, replacing the Broadcom chips used in previous models.

5. 24-Megapixel Front Camera

All iPhone 17 models are rumored to come with a 24-megapixel front camera, a big upgrade from the 12-megapixel camera on iPhone 16 models.

6. 48-Megapixel Rear Telephoto Camera

The iPhone 17 Pro series is expected to include a 48-megapixel telephoto camera, replacing the 12-megapixel one in the iPhone 16 Pro.

7. 12GB RAM

The iPhone 17 Pro is rumored to have 12GB of RAM, boosting AI capabilities and multitasking performance, up from the 8GB in the iPhone 16 models.

8. Smaller Dynamic Island for iPhone 17 Pro Max

The iPhone 17 Pro Max is said to have a narrower Dynamic Island, thanks to Metalens technology for Face ID.
