Apple’s 2017 Game-Changers Now Classified as Vintage

iPhone X

Apple has just added three of its older products to its “vintage” list. These are the iPhone X, the first HomePod, and the original AirPods.

When Apple calls a product “vintage,” it means they stopped selling it between 5 and 7 years ago. Apple stores can still fix these items for up to 2 more years, if they have the parts.

The iPhone X came out in 2017. It was special because it had no home button and used Face ID instead of fingerprints to unlock. It also had a big screen that went to the edges.

The first HomePod also came out in 2017. It was a smart speaker that could play music and answer questions. It had very good sound quality.

The original AirPods were released in 2016. They were wireless earbuds that worked really well with iPhones and other Apple devices. They became very popular and changed how people thought about wireless earphones.

After a product is “vintage” for a while, Apple calls it “obsolete.” This happens 7 years after Apple stops selling it. At that point, Apple won’t fix the product anymore.
