Android 15 Gets Privacy Dashboard Update with 7-Day History Feature

Google is enhancing the Privacy dashboard in Android 15 with a new feature: a 7-day history for location, camera, and microphone usage.

This update was introduced in the Android 16 Developer Preview 1 and is now being rolled out to Android 15 via the November 2024 Google Play system update.

To access the new 7-day history, go to Settings > Security & privacy > Privacy dashboard. Tap the overflow menu icon in the top-right corner, where you’ll now see a “Show 7 days” option, alongside “Show system.”

This update provides users with a longer timeline, giving insights into app and system usage over the past 7 days, instead of just the past 24 hours.

This is another example of how Google is improving Android through system updates without needing a full OS release.

Additionally, Android 15 has brought the Privacy dashboard into the main Security & privacy section, alongside Privacy controls and Private space.
