While the price drop isn’t massive, it’s notable given Apple’s consistent pricing strategy for its flagship devices.

Unlike Android competitors, Apple rarely discounts its devices significantly. This is partly due to the brand’s reputation for value retention, with used iPhones often fetching higher resale prices than other brands like Samsung or Google.
Changing Trends in iPhone Value
However, this trend may be shifting. Research by Compare and Recycle reveals that the iPhone 15 series lost 55% of its value within its first yearโa record depreciation for an iPhone.
By contrast, the iPhone 14 series dropped 47.8% in the same timeframe, and the iPhone 13 series only 41%.
These small discounts are a rare opportunity for shoppers looking to save on Apple’s latest technology.
