The Holiday 100 chart is back for the 2024 season, and Mariah Carey’s timeless classic, “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” reigns supreme once again.
The chart, which ranks seasonal songs based on streaming, airplay, and sales, highlights the enduring popularity of holiday favourites.
Carey’s hit has now led the Holiday 100 for an astonishing 61 weeks out of 69 total weeks since the chart began in 2011. For the week of November 22-28, the song recorded:
- 26.8 million streams (up 52%)
- 15.7 million airplay impressions (up 68%)
- 2,000 copies sold (up 25%)
These figures underline the enduring appeal of the song, which first debuted 30 years ago.
Reflecting on its success, Carey shared, “When I wrote [it], I had absolutely no idea the impact the song would eventually have worldwide.”
