Spotify has announced the launch of its in-house creative agency, Creative Lab, aimed at helping brands create custom marketing campaigns.
The agency will work closely with advertisers to produce engaging ads, including video and audio ads, in-app digital experiences, and interactive formats like call-to-action (CTA) cards.
The company is also testing generative AI voiceover ads, which will be available soon in Spotify Ads Managers. This new AI tool, called “Quick Audio,” allows brands to generate scripts and voiceovers using generative AI.Spotify’s Creative Lab is led by Kay Hsu, who joined the company in January.
The agency currently employs around 40 individuals worldwide and is dedicated to collaborating closely with advertisers to create campaigns that resonate with Spotify’s user base.
Early clients include Rockstar Energy Drink, which launched a “Press Play” livestreamed concert series within the app, and Aperol, which will also be working with Creative Lab.
The launch of Creative Lab underscores Spotify’s growing commitment to attracting advertisers to its platform, which has a listener base of 615 million. The service is available in 11 markets, including India, the US, Brazil, and more.
