Marvel has finally given fans a clearer look at Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday.
The reveal came through new officially licensed merchandise for the film. Promo art shared in an Amazon listing showed Doctor Doom wearing a metal mask, heavy armor, and a green cloak, which is close to the classic comic book design.
It is one of the clearest looks yet at the villain, who has mostly stayed in the background while Marvel builds hype for the movie. Earlier reveals included a comic cover and a keychain, but those only gave fans small previews of the costume.
The design suggests Marvel is sticking close to the character’s traditional look. That will likely please fans who wanted Doctor Doom to keep his famous style on the big screen.
