Sony has released new hardware for the PlayStation 5 in 2026. The company has launched a fresh lineup of DualSense Wireless Controller models through the official PlayStation store.
The new controllers became available on February 25. Prices range between $74 and $84.99 depending on the design and edition.
One of the most notable releases is a limited-edition controller inspired by the popular game Genshin Impact. The special version features a blue, white, and gold design with decorative details based on the game’s world.
Like previous DualSense models, the new controllers include a built-in battery, USB-C charging, and a microphone. They also support haptic feedback and adaptive triggers to create more immersive gameplay.
The controllers work not only with the PS5 but also with PCs, Mac devices, and some mobile platforms. Players can even stream games from their console to Apple devices using the PS Remote Play app.
The DualSense controller first launched alongside the PlayStation 5 in 2020. It replaced the older DualShock 4 and introduced new features designed to make gameplay feel more interactive.
The new hardware arrives during a time of major changes for PlayStation. Sony has recently discussed using generative AI in game development and has also begun shutting down several older PlayStation 4 features as it focuses more on the PS5 platform.
