Pop singer Kesha has criticised the White House for using her 2010 hit Blow in a TikTok video showing military action during the Iran conflict.

The video was posted on the official @WhiteHouse account. It shows fighter jets launching missiles at a naval target. The clip uses the line “This place about to blow” and includes the caption “Lethality” with fire and eagle emojis.

The footage was shared as U.S.-led strikes on Iran continue under Operation Epic Fury. The video quickly gained millions of views.

Kesha said she did not approve the use of her music. In posts on Instagram and X, she said the video was trying to “incite violence and threaten war.” She added that making light of war is “disgusting and inhumane.”

She also criticised President Donald Trump in her posts. The White House has not publicly responded to her comments.

Several artists in the past have objected to politicians using their music without permission. Names such as Neil Young and Rihanna have previously taken similar action.

The video remains online as of March 3. The dispute adds to growing debate at home over the military campaign and how it is presented on social media.
