Nothing is ready to launch its new mid-range phone, the Nothing Phone (4a). The company has confirmed an announcement event on March 5, 2026, at 10:30 GMT. This follows teasers from CEO Carl Pei highlighting upgrades to the Phone (4a) series.
The Phone (4a) keeps Nothing’s signature transparent design but adds big changes. The new Glyph Bar is 40% brighter than previous models, giving sharper notifications while reducing distractions. Leaks show a frosted-metallic camera island, a vertical triple-camera setup, and a new physical key, possibly for quick actions.
Specs look strong for a mid-range device. The phone will have a 6.7–6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor and offer up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Battery capacity is around 5,400mAh with 50W fast charging.
Camera upgrades are notable. The rear setup includes a 50MP main sensor, 50MP telephoto with 3.5x zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide. The front camera is likely 32MP. The phone also has IP65 dust and water resistance and runs Nothing OS 4.0 based on Android 16, with up to three major OS updates promised.
A Phone (4a) Pro variant is expected at launch. Rumors suggest a larger 6.83-inch 144Hz display, aluminum chassis, and a better main sensor, though it may share the processor and telephoto lens with the base model.
Leaked pricing for Europe shows the Phone (4a) starting around €389 (~$460 USD) for 8GB/256GB, with the 12GB/256GB version at €429. The base model may go on sale March 12, while the Pro could launch March 26.
Nothing markets this launch as a “new chapter” for the (a) series, focusing on upgraded hardware and software while keeping the unique style the brand is known for. Official details will drop on March 5, 2026, during the event at Mobile World Congress.
