FL Studio, the popular music production software, has released version 2025.2. The update is free for all existing users, continuing the company’s Lifetime Free Updates policy.
This version introduces two new plugins available in all editions: Fruity Slicer 2 and Emphasizer.
- Fruity Slicer 2 is designed for quick slicing and complex chops. It has a smoother interface, easier workflow, and per-slice controls to shape every sound.
- Emphasizer adds punch to tracks and master mixes. It is simple to use but offers professional-level features.
Loop Starter also gets bigger and better. It now includes new music genres such as boom bap, reggaeton, phonk, and afrobeats. Users can start projects in their preferred key or add new sounds to existing tracks.
Other new features in FL Studio 2025.2 include:
- Smart sound matching: Find similar sounds in your library with one click.
- Patcherize options: Convert effect chains into Patcher instances for easier mixing.
- Workflow improvements across plugins like DirectWave, Fruity Compressor, Kepler, MIDI Out, and the Piano Roll Velocity Editor.
- FL Studio Web support: Import projects from the new browser-based tool (currently in closed beta).
The update also comes with new demo songs across multiple genres, including Afro House, UK Drill, DnB, and Hip Hop, to inspire producers.
FL Studio 2025.2 gives music creators more tools and flexibility, helping both beginners and professionals start, shape, and finish their music more easily.
