Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto VI will now launch on Thursday, November 19, 2026, nearly a year later than some fans expected. The company apologized for the delay, saying the extra time will ensure the game meets the high level of polish players expect.

In the meantime, fans of movies and entertainment will have a variety of major releases before GTA 6 hits. Upcoming films include:

  • Supergirl
  • Minions 3
  • Toy Story 5
  • The Odyssey
  • Scary Movie 6
  • Coyote vs ACME
  • The Social Network 2
  • Spider-Man: Brand New Day
  • The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping
  • The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender

The announcement has stirred reactions online, as gamers anticipate one of the most highly awaited titles of the decade. Rockstar stressed that the delay is to allow extra time for refining gameplay, graphics, and overall experience.

Fans will have to wait nearly another year for GTA 6, but they can enjoy a range of blockbuster films and sequels in the meantime.
