Pop star Sabrina Carpenter has released her seventh studio album, Man’s Best Friend, through Island Records. The project follows her Grammy-winning 2024 album Short n’ Sweet and continues her rise as one of the leading figures in modern pop.

The album was produced mainly by Jack Antonoff and John Ryan, long-time collaborators who helped shape Carpenter’s evolving sound. Man’s Best Friend blends 1970s disco influences with witty lyricism, exploring themes of heartbreak, empowerment, and self-reflection with a balance of humor and vulnerability.

The lead single, Manchild, became a global success earlier this summer, topping the charts in the United States, United Kingdom, and Ireland. Its popularity set high expectations for the full record, which Carpenter describes as her “most playful and self-aware” project to date.

The release also attracted media attention due to its provocative cover art, which Carpenter addressed by offering alternative covers for fans.
