BLACKPINK’s newly unveiled single “JUMP” is already sparking intense debate online following its live debut during the group’s DEADLINE world tour kickoff in Seoul. While international fans have shown excitement, early reactions from Korean netizens have been largely negative.

The global K-pop sensation performed the track for the first time on stage, even before its official release. Teasers of “JUMP” had previously been shared on X (formerly Twitter), generating anticipation among fans worldwide. But following the performance, clips quickly went viral and reached community forums like TheQoo, where criticism mounted.

A trending post on TheQoo received over 50,000 views and nearly 1,000 comments, with many users expressing disappointment. Critics questioned the song’s quality and production, with some claiming it lacked the signature sound that has defined BLACKPINK’s past hits.

Comments included:

  • “Who gave BLACKPINK a song like this? It’s so bad.”
  • “It’s giving B-grade vibes lol.”
  • “The song is fun, yeah, but it doesn’t feel like a BLACKPINK track…”

Some users even linked their dissatisfaction to the group’s status following their contract expirations, with remarks suggesting this release feels disconnected from the group’s previous standards.

Despite the backlash, the full track has not yet been officially released in studio quality. It remains to be seen whether public perception will shift once the final version becomes available on streaming platforms.

BLACKPINK’s return comes after a period of solo ventures by all four members, making “JUMP” a major moment in their group comeback. All eyes are now on how the song will perform on domestic and international music charts following its release.
