BLACKPINK Confirms New Song Release During ‘DEADLINE’ World Tour Next Month

After a wait of nearly three years, BLACKPINK fans, known as BLINKS, finally have something to celebrate. The popular K-pop group confirmed they will release a new song during their upcoming world tour, ‘DEADLINE,’ which kicks off on July 5 and 6 at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in South Korea.

The group’s agency officially announced that the new track will be unveiled first at the start of the tour. However, details about the song’s wider release and distribution remain under wraps for now.

The agency said, “There have been many discussions regarding the release method of this new song, and we decided to unveil it first at the Goyang concert that signifies the starting point of the ‘DEADLINE’ tour, where we will reunite with our fans.”

The ‘DEADLINE’ tour will cover 31 shows across major cities worldwide, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Milan, Bangkok, Jakarta, London, and more.

Fans have shown mixed reactions to the news. Many are thrilled to finally hear new music after such a long wait. However, some expressed disappointment with the announcement, criticizing the management for not providing a detailed release schedule and feeling that a single song is not enough to satisfy the long hiatus.

One fan commented, “So we waited all these years for new music just for us to get one song that won’t even be on streaming for god knows how long, so we can only listen through fancams or by buying a concert ticket.” Another said, “The same 20 songs are going to be performed, plus one extra, so it’s basically the Born Pink Tour 2.0.”

Despite the mixed feedback, BLACKPINK is gearing up for a major comeback and is focused on delivering an exciting world tour experience.
